Introduction to Chord Sets

A Chord Set is a number of chords which make up a meaningful grouping. They could be the chords used in a particular song, musical style or even the chords a teacher wishes to focus on in a particular course or lesson. Chord Sets can be saved to disk and so you can swap them with other users of Chord Miner.

Music Coach has placed a number of Chord Sets on its website and these can be accessed from the "Chord Set/Download" menu option.

The maximum number of chords allowed in a Chord Set is 21. Different voicings of the same chord are allowed in a Chord Set but the same voicing of a chord cannot be repeated.

Adding, deleting, and reordering chords in a Chord Set

You can add a chord voicing to a Chord Set using the mouse by dragging it from the Voicings window and dropping it on a pane in the Chord Set window.

Within the Chord Set window itself you can move a chord to a different position by dragging and dropping again with the mouse.

Chords can be deleted firstly by selecting them using the mouse and then selecting "Remove a chord" from the Chord Set Menu item.
