Jamming
Jamming is all about being able to pick up the guitar and play along with whatever music-making is going on around you. It's something you get better at the more you do, but as long as you have a decent knowledge of chords and can get around the guitar fairly fluently you should feel confident having a go.
Many of our Music Coach modules have lots of tracks you can jam along with, but we've highlighted those that will give you the greatest selection of jamming material.
Blues Guitar Foundation has loads of simple backing tracks
for you to jam along with either playing lead or rhythm guitar.
The easy tracks are at a very manageable tempo (speed) so you
shouldn't have any problems keeping up.
Some of the more advanced tracks may be a bit fast but you'll enjoy the challenge of keeping up with some seriously cool blues playing. More...
Play Blues Guitar has loads of jamming material, across
a range of blues styles. The backing tracks are brilliant and
you should enjoy turning up the volume and having a go.
There are slow speed versions of most tracks so you can work up to full speed if you need to. There are indications as to rhythm and lead jamming so these tracks are easy to play together with others. More...
