Playing Scales & Chords
Below is a one octave major scale pattern along string 1 on the guitar. Using the same pattern (which will produce the same pattern of tones and semitones and therefore a major scale), try playing one octave major scales on your B, G, D, A and other E string.

Next, pick any major chord then, using the ChordCoach to find the different voicings, play and listen to each chord.

While all three voicings of C only contain the notes C, E and G, each has a slightly different sound depending on the voicing.
